MBCFI Continuously Supports Indigenous and Local Communities in Mindoro

MBCFI continuously provides support to the indigenous and local communities in Mindoro, most specifically those from the 4 priority sites of the Foundation, namely Mt. Halcon, Mts. IglitBaco National Park, Mt. Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary and, Ilin and Ambulong Islands. Hard working MISSION program manager and staff regularly attend monthly meetings to provide technical assistance on policy, system and procedures formulation, development and action plan preparation, and project monitoring.

The partnerships between communities were strengthened through the signing of conservation agreements. These agreements contained roles and responsibilities of each party (MBCFI and POs) in the conservation and management of each priority areas.
