From January to March 2018, the MISSION Team of MBCFI together with communities and people’s organization (PO) members established nurseries in Mt. Halcon, Mts. Iglit-Baco National Park (MIBNP), Mt. Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary (MCWS), and Ilin and Ambulong Islands.

One hundred and three (103) chambers and 58 open nurseries containing a total of 165,700 native tree wildlings will be used in the planting activities at POs restoration and woodlot sites during the rainy season.

A total of 17 compost beds were established, which contain native worms that produce cast and tea for fertilizers use in bio-intensive gardens of the POs.
